LEES is designed to encourage interdisciplinary activities with other institute departments and laboratories. A member of the laboratory generally participates in one or more of the following areas:

  • Power electronics
  • Signal level control circuits and electronics
  • Automotive electronics
  • System identification and control
  • Continuum electromechanics
  • High voltage and insulation research
  • Power systems modeling, control and economics
  • International industrial relations.
